Censorship: Greenpeace France ordered to remove information about GE field locations
If you fly over the south of France you might be tempted to believe that aliens have landed with a huge crop circle appearing in a field of maize. But the aliens aren't from a distant galaxy; it is GE maize from the laboratory of Monsanto -- that the French government says you have no right to know about.

Biosafety Treaty saved after NZ changes position in the nick of time
A last minute compromise has resulted in international agreement on the core details of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. It was the result of six years of negotiations and an "historic achievement", said Greenpeace New Zealand Campaigner Steve Abel from Brazil.

Agro-biotech giant Syngenta plants illegal Genetically Engineered crop in Brazilian World Heritage Site
Curitiba, Brazil — Over one thousand farmers occupied the site of an illegal field trial of GE soybeans planted by agro-biotech giant Syngenta in the National Park of Iguacu in Parana, southern Brazil on Tuesday. The site of the illegal trails was occupied by protesting farmers from "Via Campesina" an organisation representing small farmers in the region.

World's poor could suffer as result of NZ Government position on UN treaty - says African woman farmer advocate
Thoko Makhanya, an African woman who is an advocate for poor farmers, will visit New Zealand this week to appeal to the NZ Government to improve its weak position on global rules for trade in genetically engineered organisms and "Terminator" technology.

Illegal GE rice found in Chinese supermarket
Beijing, China — Greenpeace has discovered illegal genetically engineered (GE) rice in Carrefour’s store in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province in China. Greenpeace demands Carrefour to withdraw and stop selling rice from Hubei, and warns that other retailers are at risk if the Chinese government does not recall the illegal GE rice from the field and food chain.

Chicken suit clad activists are to compete in a Christmas Games event outside New Zealand’s biggest fast food chicken company Restaurant Brands (KFC) in Penrose, Auckland today (1). Events will include the organic egg and spoon race and the three drumstick (or three legged) race.
